How do you see yourself in 5 years?

How many times have we heard this question? How many times have we imagined ourselves in a hypothetical future, in a better situation? And how many times have our daily actions moved concretely towards that vision?

In the last year, at POLIN-AC, we have talked a lot about sustainability and how our proposals for body shops aim to combine working performance with sustainability and energy saving. On several occasions, between interviews and international exhibitions, we had the opportunity to communicate how important it is for us to offer a product that allows technologically advanced performances, containing consumption. Fixed costs are a real barrier to business growth. Our proposals aim to become an investment for our final customer in a short time: the energy saved can be used to expand their business or, simply, to manage their business with greater serenity.

In the last few months, we have long wondered about what, actually, we can do to make our own company more eco-friendly. Because we know where we want to become in five years.

The first big and consistent step towards a more sustainable company was taken this summer: we installed a photovoltaic system to power our offices and production plant. The installed plant, fully utilized, is able to support the internal daily needs of the company. We have chosen to rely on the light and the warmth of the sun to illuminate our days.

The investment made will be recovered in five years. A concrete step towards what we want to be.

A sustainable company, which will be able to produce its own spray booths and preparation areas thanks to renewable and clean energy sources, to significantly limit the environmental impact of our products from design to daily use by the customer. A company that will be able to continue investing constantly in research and development of new technologies because the savings we will have from reducing energy costs will support our projects.

Everyone of us has the duty to protect the environment around us as well as each of us has the right to live in a better world. We really believe in these words. For this reason, we make decision to install a photovoltaic system not only as an investment for our autonomy and energy savings but as a tangible proof of our commitment to a protected and respected environment.

And the demonstration that it is possible to combine environmental protection with greater stability and economic growth has already arrived a few months after the plant was put into operation.

We saved a ton and a half of carbon dioxide.
